The organization is also working with the Pan American Health Organization to establish supply staging areas in the Caribbean and South America.

The idea for this piece came from the realization of how much musicians would miss playing in ensembles during the COVID – 19 outbreak. I decided to write a piece for large ensemble that could be a way to bring these musicians together to work on something as a collective and make something beautiful. After making a post online many musicians responded saying they wanted to collaborate. I gave myself a two-week deadline to write the piece and make parts, then another week to create a click track that musicians could use to record themselves performing their parts. Once I received all the recordings I edited everything together.

This experience has been a beautiful one, and a reminder that there are always ways to collaborate, create, and build communities if people have the desire to do so. The title for the piece came from the realization that despite the strange situation we find ourselves in, the world still turns. There are certainly difficult days, but the birds still sing outside, and Spring still comes.
